The Cultural Xchange is an arts and entertainment eco-system created to cultivate and promote up-and-coming participants in the arts and entertainment lifestyle.  Fueled by diversity and a multicultural purpose, The Cultural Xchange is designed to use the shared knowledge, access, and experience amongst all in the movement.

Cultural Xchange

The Cultural Xchange is a multicultural introduction to music, fashion, and film from various cultures and genres. This exposure, marketing, networking community was launched by The Conduit Magazine to provide an opportunity to those talented yet to be discovered musical artists, groups, and bands as well as, a place for undiscovered actors, filmmakers, and fashion designers.  Our goal is to provide amateur artists a structured environment in which to showcase their talents.  Participation within The Cultural Xchange will allow our readers and/or viewers to submit and/or upload songs, videos, live performances, or movie shorts for viewing.  Once submitted, your peers will then evaluate your material and those receiving the biggest responses will be interviewed and placed in our regular play-lists.

We’ve listened to our readers.  Several inquiries were made to The Conduit Magazine about the processes and protocols of obtaining success in film, television and music.  Tired of wishing upon a MySpace star, our readers desire a more concentrated method for receiving exposure and opportunities to showcase their talents.  Combining the artists’ wants and needs with our vast industry filled database led to the creation of a network designed to foster an arts and entertainment career.  Such a network would potentially eliminate the substantial amount of time spent filtering through the extraneous material that tends to be accumulated on the more inclusive promotional websites such as MySpace and FaceBook. The Cultural Xchange is designed to operate in its own arts and entertainment ecosystem.  We created this cocoon to bring a myopic focus to the business of arts and entertainment. The Cultural Xchange network community is results based, solutions based, and totally accessible.  This network will consist of the following:

Artist Interviews:

Our incredible staff will be charged with the task of contacting ad interviewing those up and coming singers, songwriters, musicians, band, groups, or designers our readers deem as the next big thing.  It is our goal to provide them with the high level exposure that will help them reach the next plateau in their careers.

This page will allow One Mic: Cultural Xchange to market and promote any upcoming events, seminars, tutorials, or artists we endorse.

Voter Participation:

Readers, Viewers and Listeners alike will have the opportunity to log on to One Mic: Cultural Xchange and vote on each and every person who posted music, videos, and/or live performances.

Conduit Radio Station:  One of the most important and rewarding features of One Mic: Cultural Xchange is the introduction of our privately run radio station.   The format will consist of all the top vote getters throughout the day, week, and month.  We will be running the radio station as a means of rewarding our most talented patrons.  The radio station will be professionally run and should forecast an artists’ commercial viability.

Another advanced feature One Mic: Cultural Xchange offers is the ability for amateur music artists, videographers, directors, and filmmakers to upload videos, film shorts and/or trailers to be judged by the public.
